The Importance of Club Fitting

This game can be difficult, and playing with the wrong equipment set up will not help it be any easier.  If the club doesn’t make proper contact with the ground or the shaft on your driver doesn’t generate the right launch, ball speed or spin, you might not be maximizing your results.  With the evolution of launch monitors and the ability to interchange heads and shafts, fitting clubs has become the best way to purchase new equipment.  When it comes to irons, the wrong impact with the ground can lead to either left or right shots as the ground causes the club head to slow on the heal or toe.  You could be making a good golf swing and have bad results because the irons aren’t built to your swing.  The shaft in the driver can add spin if you need it to keep the ball in the air or limit spin so the ball doesn’t climb and has better trajectory.  In each case, that could add distance to your drives and everyone wants more distance.  If your clubs are reaching the decade mark, it may be time to look at new equipment.  The technology has improved (just like the computer you are reading this on) to help you hit straighter and longer shots.  Adding a professional fitting to the mix can get you on the right track to hitting better shots and having lower scores.  If you are interested in making sure your equipment matches your swing, we would be happy to fit you for your next set of equipment.  Better shots lead to lower scores and ultimately more enjoyment.  Have fun out there.
